Antibiotics don't cause obesity

A new study in JAMA this week debunks the idea that antibiotic exposure early in life is linked to children's obesity later.

A previous report had reported a weak link between antibiotics and obesity.  I doubted it at the time; see my blog post from 2012 here:

It's nice to know that I was right 4 years ago!  But we still need to be cautious about the overuse of antibiotics in general.
